Edutopia is a George Lucas Foundation organization building an evidence base to support best practices in K-12 classrooms. They seek out amazingly innovative teaching practices around the nation to document and share. This is a segment from one of three schools in Michigan, Texas and Maryland I shot for Edutopia. 

 

The chaotic, spirited, constantly changing nature of these learning environments called on my experience shooting toys/kids/animals with past client Hasbro for New York Toy fair and with Head Start programs/early 0-6 education training videos.

 

Teaching situations were covered handheld on a Sony EX-3 while interior interviews were shot with a Canon 5D mark IIl and primes.
