Location: Arnold's on Eight Street

It was a very very hot Sunday in July when we took over Arnold's Tavern. This is Cincinnati's oldest tavern dating back to 1840 I believe.... it was a good thing we had a genie!

Inside we used mini's and tweenies rigged in the ceiling with 1/2 CTO or 1/2 blue. I sculpted them with black wrap and goboed blued babies for side kickers. We smoked the room for the wide shots.

Location: Alley outside of Arnold's

Twilight was upon us and we had another scene after this one to light. I had no time to spend on the lighting setup and running more cable so we lit everything using just one 6K HMI as a backlight. I used a 3x3 mirror as a key on the mime and the soft side of several 4x4 shiny boards to fill the walk in.

It was a wonderful alley to shoot. I loved the weathered brick, cobble stones and barred windows.
