PBS series shooting in
Cincinnati on the second stop of an eight city tour. Involved
two days of setup rigging an extensive truss structure
housing Kinoflows and HMI instruments in the Cincinnati
Convention Center. Over 7000 people arrived for the actual
seven hours of taping. Lit extremely small items with
microflows using a lipstick cam. Some shots required lighting
& shooting inside antiques.
NOVA program on fire fighters
for PBS and the BBC. Organized local crew and equipment for
this 16mm production on recent advances in fire fighting
rescue techniques. Involved dramatic reenactments with
extensive fire and smoke. Problem solved inability to record
image off infrared fire fighter's helmet camera due to low
output, corrected with local rental of video correction
hardware.
Series of 35mm spots depicting
the debut of this new riverboat casino near Cincinnati.
Located and managed a large crew for an out of state
production company. Tied-in to marine power simultaneously on
4 floors for grand staircase shots.
Documentary on a television
production plant in Torreon, Mexico. Included extensive
travel, customs hurdles and interactions with non-English
speaking on-camera people. Detailed the city and surrounding
mountains, the people and their philosophy at work.
